The Mayor of Hargeisa Abdikarem Ahmed Moge has delivered a public apology to Telesom company; one of the leading telecommunication companies in Somaliland and its customers for the service interruption on thursday due to a cable damage caused by the Hargeisa municipality while working on road construction.
He told the public to not misinterpret the incident and must be aware that it was their fault and not the company’s fault. Meanwhile, a senior officer from the company accepted the apology and extended gratitude to the municipality for their efforts of taking part in restoring the services to the last minute.
On Thursday, most of the company services including calls, Internet and Zaad services were unavailable and most of the public faced challenges as the country is one of the nations where mobile money is widely used.
However after a few hours, the company managed to restore all its services and delivered an apology for the inconvenience.
