

Abdikareem Ahmed Moge, the Mayor of Hargeisa while addressing university graduates, has spoken out against public criticism that he has not achieved much in his first three months. He defended that the local council members are doing their best to make the dreams of the people come true.
Pointing out, the poor roads in the city, he stated that the local council can not start repairing or building new roads during the rainy season. He affirmed that could only be possible after the rainy season and before that they will carry out their other pending duties.
The Mayor called on the public to be patient and extend support to his team in making Hargeisa a clean city in the coming few years. On the issue on tax payment which is a challenge that has already been addressed by previous administrations, he appealed to residents to pay their taxes.

During the rainy season, the streets of Hargeisa experience huge traffic jams due to poor road conditions. People often demand the government to address this issue.
