The Newly elected Mayor of Hargeisa, Abdikarim Ahmed Mooge ,has officially reopened blocked roads in the capital city. Officials say that four main gates have been cleaned up which were part of the road closure in the area. The Mayor of Hargeisa Abdikarim Ahmed Mooge was accompanied by his deputy to monitor the implementation process.
The two officials informed the public that this will be an ongoing process and asked the residents of Hargeisa to cooperate with them and not consider such implementations as Pressure.
Earlier this week, Mayor Abdikareem Ahmed Mooge while speaking about the death of two children caused by a fire that broke out at their residential house, pledged to open all blocked roads in the city.
The emergency team had said they were unable to approach the house and save the children due to road closure by the residents. Meanwhile, many people have welcomed the decision of the Mayor to open such blocked roads and encouraged him to not make it an abortive dream.
