

The Internally displaced people in Mogadishu have demanded humanitarian assistance during the holy month of Ramadan which begun on Tuesday.
CBA Tv paid a visit to one of the camps in Mogadishu that hosts around 800 families from various regions of Somalia and assessed their situation. According to the information recieved, some of the residents were displaced by recurrent droughts while others by the civil wars in Somalia.
The residents noted that the country has entered the rainy season and their shelters can’t prevent the rainwater which will intensify their problems. Some of them said that their homes have already been destroyed by rain water.
Abdirashid Hassan, the Chairman of the camps highlighted that most of the residents have no food to break their fasting. He also noted that the number of displaced people in the camp is increasing every day. Humanitarian assistance in crucial at this time.
