Plans to launch direct flights to Hargeisa, Somaliland from Kenya’s capital Nairobi are on hold. Through a statement issued on Wednesday, Kenya Airways said the plans were put on hold pending requisite approvals and clearances.
“We currently do not have any flights in operation, contrary to information circulating on social media,” Kenya Airways noted in the statement.
This comes as the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority suspended all flights to and from Somalia in a notice to airmen.
