

SOMALILAND.COM – The Supreme Military Court of Somaliland has handed down a death sentence to a police officer who found guilty of killing a civilian man near Tog-Wachale town in Gabiley District.
According to a statement from the office of the Supreme Court of Somaliland Military, the court has sentenced one defendant to a death penalty and two other police officers to 11 years of imprisonment.
According to Somaliland news agency SOLNA, the Military Court sentenced the death penalty to a police officer, Yasin Mohamed Farah, 30 years old, after he was convicted of the killing of a civilian named Aydarus Mohamed Dahir.
The court also sentenced 11 years of imprisonment to two other officers who were accused of being part of the murder. The other two officers are identified as Abdinasir Mohamed Guled and Omar Mohamed Abdi.
