

Somaliland National Electoral Commission ( NEC ) held a stakeholder meeting today in their HQ which Commissioner’s presented to the stakeholder the upgraded Voter Registration System.
The ruling Kulmiye party and UCID party of the opposition, Civil Society, International Partner’s and Member’s of the Parliament attended the meeting.
NEC explained to the stakeholder’s the new Voter Registration System and the new Procedures of the upcoming Voter Registration exercises.
NEC is planning to hold MOCK Voter Registration in the coming weeks.
UCID chairman, Mr Faisel Ali Waraabe, and Kulmiye’s deputy-chairman, Mr Mohamed Kahin Ahmed attended the meeting.
The main opposition party, WADDANI, declined the invitation to attend, and expressed its response letter to the NEC that WADDANI will not cooperate any NEC activities unless new commissioners are chosen in fair manner.
