SOMALILAND.COM – The leader of Somaliland’s Justice and Welfare Party reiterates his apocalyptic concerns over the viability of Somaliland’s state.
Faysal Ali Warabe, the chairman of UCID party, said he is worried whether Somaliland could survive the next six months.
He made these remarks at a book launching event in Hargeisa on Thursday night.
Faysal said that Somaliland’s government is dragging its legs from implementing the accords reached with Khaatumo group led by Ali Khalif Galaydh.
Faysal made a similar statement upon his return on Thursday morning saying Somaliland had hit a rock bottom.
In that press conference, he announced that the two opposition parties, UCID and Waddani, will issue a joint statement on Saturday outlining their positions on the most pressing issues facing the nation.
The despondent remarks of the opposition leader come two days after president Bihi pronounced the death of the effort to resolve the dispute over the elections commission.
The electoral deadlock is coupled by the unaddressed grievances of Khaatumo region which led many citizens to lose faith in Somaliland, according to Faysal Ali Warabe and the Leader of Khatumo state, Ali Khalif Galaydh.
