President Muse Bihi Meets Turkish Envoy of Somaliland-Somalia Talks

Somaliland president Muse Bihi Abdi has met with Turkey government’s envoy to Somaliland-Somalia talks.

Somaliland president Muse Bihi Abdi on Saturday met with the turkey envoy for Somaliland and Somalia talks, Dr. Oglan Beker. The president was accompanied by Somaliland’s envoy to talks with Somalia, Dr. Adna Adan, and Ex-Minister Awil.

According to the spokesman of president, the president told the envoy that international community needs to be part of Somaliland-Somalia talks as the last rounds of the negotiations failed.

The Turkish envoy is in Somaliland to revive the talks between Somaliland and Somalia that broke-down in 2015.

Between Somali London conference on 2012 , the two sides met six times in Ankara, Istanbul, and Djibouti.

On Thursday, the Turkish envoy, Mr Beker also met with Somaliland opposition party, Waddani, who welcomed the talks between the two countries.
