Rallies in support of Somaliland’s recognition have been held for the second day in Burao, Borama and other major cities of Somaliland. The rallies are in response to the recently concluded debate at the house of commons in Britain, where some of the British MPs fully endorsed Somaliland’s recognition.
Majority of Somaliland citizens believe the recognition will come soon. They urged the British government to take the lead in recognizing Somaliland as a country and to be a member of the United nations.
Similar rallies took place in the capital Hargeisa on saturday where citizens thanked Gavin Wlliamson, a member of the UK’s House of Commons for tabling the case of Somaliland before the House.
