The Sanaag regional court of Somaliland granted different verdicts to three Journalists who operate in the Sanaag region after a Somaliland police officer filed charges against them in the court.
The three Journalists were identified as Abdirizak Tukubo, Abdirahman Addani and Jaabir Saed Duale. Elaborating the court’s verdict in depth, the lawyer of the journalists said the court released Abdirizak Tukubo from prison after he was found not guilty.
The Lawyer said Jabir was fined a sum of 600,000 Somaliland Shillings while Abdirahman Addani was sentenced to nine months of prison. He also praised that the court found not guilty on major charges against the journalists which had initially accused them. The lawyer did not elaborate clearly on the major charges the journalists survived from in his statement.
