The Prime Minister of Somalia Hamse Abdi Barre along with the second deputy speaker of the house of representatives Abdulahi Omar Abshir and other officials of the government participated in the Qatar Independence Week commemoration in Mogadishu.
The Prime Minister congratulated the government and the people of Qatar on Independence Week and noted that Somalia and Qatar have a long-standing historical relationship and cooperations. Also, Hamse Abdi Barre thanked the Qatari government for its continuous support and development projects implemented in the country.
The Prime Minister praised Qatar on how they received the 2022 world cup in Qatar and also praised how they represented all the Muslim Countries the best way, and the opening of the world cup with the Quran saying that the opening Ayah explained the correct meaning of humanities
