The federal government of Somalia has refuted reports that the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation has suspended Air Dubai and Fly Arabia.
In a brief statement, the ministry of transport and civil aviation said that there was no suspension on the flights.
These two flights have a number of flights to and from Mogadishu and Hargeisa every week. This comes after rumors of the suspension of these two flights spread all over including major media outlets.
Last year, Somaliland suspended FlyDubai and Air Arabia airlines from its airspace after they heeded directives issued by Somalia’s authority calling the airlines to stop int’l flights to and from Somaliland.
The ban was lifted recently by the Somaliland Civil Aviation Regulator allowing Air Arabia and FlyDubai to operate in Somaliland.
