

The Director General of Somaliland Presidency, Mohamed Ali Bile, the Hargeisa Mayor, Abdikarim Ahmed Mooge and the Governor of Maroodijeeh region have today jointly laid the foundation stone for the construction of a new public space in Hargeisa.
Mohamed Ali Bile said this is one of the government’s projects to be implement, including the construction of the National Museum which is expected to officially open any time soon. The public space is ment for the public, and specifically for the youth, families and visitors to the city to meet, rest and enjoy.
The Mayor of Hargeisa Abdikareem Ahmed stated that the government intends to launch more other public spaces in the country.
The new public space will be located opposite the upcoming National Museum building or former Hargeisa Public Square.
