Somaliland delegate to participate in Jubbaland inauguration

The chairman of Somaliland opposition party mr Faisal Ali Waraabe has announced that Somaliland is participating in the inauguration ceremony of Ahmed Madobe, the controversially elected president of Jubbanland State of Somalia.

Talking with the local media in Hargeisa, He said that Somaliland has formed a delegation of six members in different institutions of the Republic, to fly to Kismayo and congratulate the people and president of Jubbaland.

He added that Somaliland is going to foster close relations to all Somalia States in order to convince them for the recognition of the Republic of Somaliland.

Jubbaland has postponed the swearing ceremony to an unknown date after the Federal govt of Somalia temporarily banned the flights to Kismayo.

This is the first time that Somaliland officials try to visit parts of Somalia and try to influence Somalia’s politics.

In another aspect, Mr Faisal Ali Waraabe strongly condemned the President of Somali Federal Govt Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo, for posing a photo with a convicted torturer, Col. Ahmed Yusuf Tuke in Washington.

UCID leader said that Farmaajo is gradually showing his true face of hatred and hostility towards Somaliland, by colluding with war criminals who were responsible for 1980s war atrocities in Somaliland cities.

The picture of Farmaajo with Colonel Tuke, sparked wide condemnation and controversy among the Somali people around the world.
