The Somaliland national electoral commission invited the recently registered political associations at the main headquarter of the commission in Hargeisa on Thursday. The chairman of the Mideeye Political association, Osman Badmaah who addressed the media after the meeting said the main agenda of the discussion was about the upcoming voter registration process.
He deliberately denied that the election sequence issue was included in their discussion but they agreed on to work collectively on the upcoming registration process that will commence on 28 December as President Bihi announced.
Badmaah acclaimed the achievements gained by the electoral commissioners within a short time and believes that the electoral commissioners are committed to finish all the required election process on time.
However, Osman Badmaah still remains unwavering on his position in the political parties and associations’ election to come before the Presidential election. The national electoral commission had a similar meeting with the national political parties three days ago and demanded them to urge their supporters to participate in the upcoming voter registration process.
