Somaliland Electoral Commission to begin distribution of voter registration card on 11 th March

The chairman of Somaliland’s Electoral Commission, Mr. Abdirashid Rio Ra’ac, said that on March 11, the voter registration cards will be distributed to the registered voters.

According to the chairman, the distribution will start in Sool, Sahil and Sanaag regions, followed by Togdheer, Marodijeh and Awdal regions.

On the other hand, Mr. Abdirashid urged the teaming youths who have been trained in the election process to serve their communities efficiently as well as the 2,500-strong force in the commission’s workplaces to ensure the security of commission’s staff and the equipment.

Somaliland House of Representatives and the local councils have been tentatively scheduled and many aspiring candidates are warming up for the exercise.
