The Hargeisa fire brigade successfully extinguished a fire that erupted at a hotel near to the Grand Mosque in Hargeisa. In a report, the fire brigade affirmed the fire was spreading at high speed before it was extinguished.
At least 11 people were wounded in the fire who were sleeping in the hotel and no death was reported. Firefighters rushed to the scene and rescued those who were trapped in the hotel, while footage from the area showed smoke coming out of hotel rooms.
Officials were very worried about the fire spreading to the nearby areas that could endanger Waheen Market which experienced a devastating fire in April this year. It is unclear the cause of the fire. But, The Hargeisa fire brigade declared they will launch investigation into matter
