The Governor of Togdheer region of Somaliland,Mohamed Abdillahi (Nafaqo) believes the reason the Presidential candidate and the Chairman of WADDANI party Abdirahman Irro and Hirsi respectively came to Burao is to incite ]political unrest.
He revealed that the initial communication Irro and Hirsi made was to meet the⁶ r000esidents on issues pertaining to finding support for the people affected by the drought but they decided to prioritize politics and aimed to incite unrest.
Responding to their separate statements of saying that Buroa has united, Nafaqo said Burao has never been a divided region and asked them to provide a proof supporting their argument.
The governor advised the opposition figures to return to Hargeisa if they are much interested in debating creation of new political associations which the case is in the court for clarification.
The governor said that there have been more exaggerated acts involved by the two officials since they arrived in Burao. The party officials had accused the government of attacking freedom of speech and lacking patience to listen to accusations against them.
