Somaliland Government Says Somalia’s high ranking Army officials joins the war in Lasanod

In a press release statement, Somaliland Ministry of Defence disclosed that Somalia’s high ranking Army officials joined the war in Lasanod and together with what Somaliland called as “anti-peace and terrorist groups” who attacked Somaliland military bases in Lasanod city on Tuesday Morning, which the accused sides have not yet commented on.

The National Army Forces of the Republic of Somaliland, declared that in an attempt to defend themselves, struck a blow against the allied groups and left them with heavy losses.

Also, the Somaliland Government informs the international community and neighboring countries that these allied groups are a threat to the security and stability of the Horn of Africa region, and want to spread extremist ideology in the Horn of Africa, The Government of Somaliland called for cooperation to eliminate these “terrorist groups” from the city of Lasanod.

Meanwhile, Somaliland retreated its army forces from frontlines in Lasanod to their designated military bases, However, this strained situation in Lasanod where Somaliland security forces and armed militia are fighting goes on for the third week.
