Somaliland house of representatives’ security affairs committee alleged the Minister of interior Mohamed Kahin of weakening the cooperation between the two entities after he “deliberately” declined to respond to an invitation from the committee which was supposed to take place on Wednesday.
The chairman of the house committee Ahmed Nour Guruuje recounted that the committee sent the minister three times in the past with a summoning letter to take questions from the committee members. The Chairman said the minister made excuses twice while the third time he “deliberately” declined to respond.
Elaborating on what their next move could be towards the matter. Guruuje said the committee will report the matter to the general assembly and the minister will answer questions from the lawmakers.
The committee chairman clarified that Minister Kaahin will answer on issues pertaining the security, especially the recent opposition protests that claimed the lives of innocent civilians, recurrent assassination in Las’anod and the El-Afweyn clan clashes.
