According to a statement issued by Somaliland’s Ministry of Telecommunication, the government has lifted its ban on installing telecommunication towers in the country. The statement noted that companies from now on will have a right to install their new telecommunication towers.
The ministry has urged the telecommunication companies to follow the directives of the ministry before installation to avoid poor quality networks in the country.
In December of last year, the Telecommunication ministry had issued a new directive on halting the installation of new towers in the country to ensure the quality of towers in Somaliland.
