The Minister of health in Somaliland Hassan Gaafaadhi , has launched the ministry’s annual planning and review meeting in Berbera on Tuesday which is aimed at discussing the achievements of the ministry in the last year and its new plans for the next year.
In his opening remarks, the Director General of the Ministry, Mohamed Abdi Hargeeye elaborated in depth about the major health projects the ministry achieved in this ending year that include the construction of new hospitals and implemented health projects to new areas that previously did not have adequate health services.
On the other side, The Minister of health Hassan Gaafaadhi said Somaliland has obtained visible progress in the health sector compared to previous years and expressed hope that the recently departed Doctors to Ethiopia would contribute more after they return to home.
During the meeting, it is expected the Ministry officials and medical practitioners to focus on the current health condition in the country including the growing confirmed cases of Dengue fever to set strategies to mitigate it from spreading.
