As the ministry of investment and industries for Somaliland were conducting efforts to progress the country’s industrial development, the ministry held a consultation meeting with the aim to enhance the national industrial policy.
Several ministers including the Ministers of finance, agriculture and the deputy minister of information attended the event which was launching the first draft of the national industry development policy in Hargeisa and all welcomed the policy introduced by the ministry of investment and industries.
In his opening remarks, the minister of investment and industries, Abdillahi Aarreh stated that the grand purpose of this consultation is Somaliland to get solid policies regarding the national industrial development and his team has been doing the effort since last year.
The Director General of the Ministry of investment and industries, Mohamed Osman expressed optimism the meeting would have a great significance to the nation, underlining that the ministry granted with more energy and time to the implementation of the industrial development policies.
Meanwhile, The Director of the industry department for the ministry of investment and industries, Rashiid Bullo stated the challenges faced by the country’s industries led to the formation of new policies.
