Somaliland Member of Parliament Mohamed Abib, has protested against his suspension from the remaining session of the house by the acting Speaker Saed Mire Giirre.
In his letter, Mohamed Abib described the decision as illegal and does not follow the bylaws of the parliament as the House of Representatives doesn’t have a code of conduct for disciplinary, and he is reluctant to comply with the order from the acting speaker.
However, The situation started after the Mp left a closed door session of the parliament a few days ago and raised complaints against the house members over LasAnod’s situation, claiming the house neglected to discuss the matter on time.
Other Mps had requested for his return to the session. But, the situation changed after the acting speaker demanded a public apology from the Mp on Saturday’s session which MP Abiib denied.
