A Somaliland lawmaker Mohamed Abib strongly criticized the police and Bihi’s administration for killing unarmed civilians on Thursday. The MP said he is very downhearted about President Bihi who fought against the oppression of Siyad Barre’s regime but is now taking similar decisions and oppressing his people.
Mohamed Abib told the president that he still has a chance to revisit his policies regarding the current strained situation in Somaliland. He Urged him to hold accountable anyone who violated the rights of peaceful demonstrators, demanding the election to be held on time.
The Mp Also noted and blamed the president for the failure of poll talks. MP Abiib said it was the president who declined the voluntary mediation committee to intervene in the case and later denounced to give the confidence to the Speakers of the parliament, an accusation Bihi’s administration has neither accepted nor denied.
