

Somaliland National Human Rights commision has notified all security agencies to keep away from unlawful arrest of candidates. The commision spotlighted all candidates who appeared in the final list as legitimate candidates who have immunity.
The National Human rights commision said arresting a candidate will be interpreted to unconstitutional and urged all security agencies to protect the bylaws elections of the country and avoid an illegitimate arrest of the candidates.
The Somaliland national electoral commission had a similar decision and instructed all security agencies to avoid arresting a candidate who has immunity from the national electoral commission as the country approaches elections.
Somaliland nationals will go voting on 31 may and around 1.3 million have registered as legitimate voters in the country.
