The Newly appointed national electoral commission members have been sworn in today in Hargeisa, Somaliland. The chief justice Adam Hajji Ahmed Ali handed over the holy Quran to the four members and swore that they will carry out the election process responsibly and honestly.
President Muse Bihi commended the newly approved electoral members and reminded them how heavy their responsibility is, as the country prepares to hold two elections; the Presidential election and the political association election.
The remaining three members of the electoral commission are expected to be appointed very soon after the house of representatives strongly rejected two figures appointed by the president and one commissioner from the upper house.
