A senior official who announced his resignation today from Waaberi Membership, a political association in Somaliland revealed to the public that the National electoral commission has already clearly informed the registered political associations they don’t have a law guiding them to hold the political associations’ election currently.
Mowlid Muumin Ibrahim who made the announcement believes that the political associations’ hope for the political parties and associations’ election is getting shorter citing the National electoral commission’s decision to exclude the political associations from Monday’s meeting with the political parties.
Meanwhile, explaining what motivated him to resign said it was a personal interest and declined to provide further details. However, It’s unclear if the National electoral commision insists on holding the Presidential election as it announced on September 24 or the political parties and associations’ election.
