Hargeisa (Somaliland.com) – The permanent committee of the house of representatives has today intervened a stalemate that was looming between the ministry of Education and the Association of private schools in the country.
A week after the Minister for Education appeared before the Committee, the association of private schools today reached a consensus with the committee of the house of the representatives to resolve all the withstanding disputes.
The permanent committee of the House of Representatives met the officials of the association of private schools in Somaliland at parliamentary buildings. The private schools have accused the ministry of Education’s new gazette notice which they say is illegal and against the private schools in the country.
The Ministry of Education has not allocated scholarship slots to private schools in the country. Mahat Ibrahim a senior member of the private schools’ committee says the stalemate will be over soon.
The permanent committee of the house of representatives says it tried to resolve the dispute between the two worrying sides.
