Somaliland police arrested police officers caught in camera brutalizing a woman in the border town Wajaale. The spokesman of Somaliland’s police force Faysal Heis announced the detention of the offending officers in a press conference today. Faysal Heis said the police officers are in detention and will face trial at an appropriate court.
While the protest was going on, some police officers manhandled a woman who was participating in the protest. The police commissioner immediately ordered the arrest of the men who manhandled the woman. They were arrested and will be brought before a competent court to hear their case.

The woman was participating in a protest against the killing of a young man by a policeman on Saturday, December fourteenth. The family of the killed man was not informed of his death and his body was not found four three days. Local sources tell us that when the body was found on Wednesday, a protest erupted in the city center. That is when the footage of the police brutalizing the woman is recorded.
Faysal Heis, the police spokesman, said the officer who killed the young man was taken to custody and had admitted to the murder. He added that the police officer will be charged with murder and appear before court soon.
On fourteen December 2019, crime was committed in Wajaale town. A police officer with full mental faculties had intentionally killed a citizen. The police have apprehended the office who committed this thuggery along with two of his accomplices. They are transferred to Hargeisa central prison.
