Somaliland security forces have intensified Security operations in the main markets of the country as people flock to buy items in preparation for the eid day celebrations. The police affirmed that these operations are intended to prevent theft and street robbery.
Mohamed Adam Saqadhi (Dabagale) the police chief of Somaliland has been leading security operations in he capital city of Hargeisa.
The Police chief could be seen meeting with buisness operators in the main market as well as the street venders asking them about their safety during this busy time. Dabagagale also warned the businessmen and their staff to avoid touching and holding women’s clothes or even hands as Islam teaches.
He also sent a congratulatory message to all Muslims as they anticipate to mark the first day of the eid which could be anytime from wednesday or Thursday. He has advised the public to give a hand to the security forces by reporting any suspects.
