Somaliland president Muse Bihi appointed new leadership for the police forces on Tuesday.
In a presidential decree, president Bihi appointed former military officer, Brigadier General Mohamed Adan Saqadhi (Dabagale), as the new Commissioner of the Somaliland Police. He will replace major Abdillahi Fadal Iman who died on Friday, November 1st.
Brigadier General Mohamed Dabagale was the former Chief of Operations of the Somaliland national army.
The president also appointed Brigadier General Abdi Hassan Mireh as a Deputy Police Commissioner. He will replace Brigadier General Farah Mohamed Mireh who was in office for merely twenty-one days. Reports indicate that the former Deputy Commissioner is suffering ill health. His was the shortest reign in the Deputy Police Commissioner in Somaliland history.
