

President Muse Bihi held a consultation meeting with Somaliland’s National electoral commission to assess the bending duties for the forthcoming local and house of representative elections.
According to the Presidency, the National electoral commission members briefed the president on their preparation as the country approaches elections next month. The electoral commission clarified that they are in their last preparations and expects to finish the bending duties within a short time including the financial budget for the elections.
President Bihi applauded the outstanding performance of the national electoral commission and urged them to ensure Somaliland has free and transparent elections on 31 May of this year.
The latest report from the electoral commission indicates, around 1.3 Million voters registered to cast their votes freely for the forthcoming elections to elect their favourite candidates for the house of representatives and local councils.
