

Somaliland President Musa Bihi Abdi, leading ministerial-level delegation, embarked to UAE, today morning, to start two-day working visit after receiving an official invitation from the government of UAE.
The president’s visit is based on an official invitation made by the United Arab Emirates, which sent a special plane, which took the president and the delegation from Hargeisa’s Egal International Airport.

Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Prof. Yasin Haji Mohamoud Hir (Faratoon) has briefed the media about the president’s visit and said that “this visit is an official working visit, he said, “it is a brief tour of the two-day at most, and this journey is behind the already established relationship between the two the countries”.
The President of the Republic of Somaliland HE Mr. Muse Bihi Abdi trip to the United Arab Emirates is accompanied by Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Prof. Yasin Haji Mohamud Hir (Faratoon) and the newly appointed National Planning and Development, Dr. Abdirahim Osman Haji Abdi (Shibin).
UAE as trade & investor partner
UAE is the biggest investment partner with the Republic of Somaliland. Dubai’s DP World manages the Berbera Port and is investing port expansion valued at $442 million in 30 years concession agreement.
In this week, Somaliland President Muse Bihi innagurated the addition of three mobile harbour cranes to Berbera Port.
