The President of the Republic of Somaliland HE. Muse Bihi Abdi alongside with his delegation has paid a working visit to Djibouti to strengthen bilateral ties and enhance regional issues.
President Muse Bihi Abdi and his delegation left Hargeisa early morning on Monday.
According to a governmen source, the working visit will last several days.
The president is accompanied by the Ministers of Interior, Information and Trade.
Upon arrival, President Bihi was welcomed at the Djibouti International Airport by the Djibouti Minister of Interior, HE Said Nuh Hassan, the Minister of Commerce, HE Mohamed Warsame Diriye and Minister of Information Ridwan Abdilahi Bahdoon.
The President was also received by the Ambassador of Somaliland to Djibouti, Amb. Abdifatah Said Ahmed.
The President and his entourage took a short break at the Airport Guest Room, after which they were escorted to the Kempinski Hotel. Amongst the issues expected to be discussed are economic and bilateral ties as well as regional enhancement.
Somaliland and Djibouti share a number of common interests and stand to benefit from closer co-operation on issues such as Maritime, security and economy among others.
Last month Somaliland Foreign Minister Isse keyd met his Djibouti counterpart Mohamoud Ali Yusuf in Djibouti to discuss the bilateral ties and regional issues.
