

Somaliland President, Muse Bihi Abdi on Thursday reshuffled the cabinet and appointed new ministers for foreign affairs,health, Agriculture and water developments.
He appointed Esse Kayd Mohamoud Raagsaale as the new foreign affairs minister after the ministry had been without a minister for months. The president also transferred the deputy of the ministry Liban Yousuf Osman to the health ministry as deputy minister.
In his Presidential decree, Muse Bihi dismissed three key ministers in a cabinet reshuffle. He fired the minister of religious affairs Sheikh Khalil who has been one of the longest serving ministers in the cabinet since Kulmiye came to power.
According to the presidential decree, Ahmed Mumin Seed, the minister of Agriculture is no longer in the cabinet. The minister of Sports Mr Boss Mire has also been fired from the cabinet.
The President also sacked the Somaliland’s Civil service commission chairman Farhan Adam Haybe and the Governor of Somaliland’s central bank Ali Ibrahim Baqdaadi.
This is the fourth reshuffle undertaken by the president since he assumed office.
