According to a presidential decree released by the presidency, President Muse Bihi Abdi has sacked the Sanaag’s deputy governor Mohamed Khalif Nour. The statement did not clarify why the president dismissed the deputy governor.
Meanwhile, Mohamed Khalif Nour has yet to comment on his expulsion. He was appointed in May 2021 as deputy governor by president Bihi. The statement reads that Jama Mohamud Warsame will be his successor.
The President also made a mini reshuffle, transferring the Director General of the Ministry of Employment, Social Affairs, and Family. Abdirashid Ibrahim to the Ministry of commerce and tourism while President Bihi appointed Ismail Saleban for the DG for the ministry of justice and transferred the former DG to the ministry of employment and social Affairs.
