Somaliland Religious scholars in a press release in Hargeisa on the violence in Lasanod called for an immediate end to the bloodshed in the city. However, The scholars welcomed the implementation of the ceasefire issued by the Somaliland government.
The Notorious sheikhs said that this call is aimed at the Somaliland government, the intellectuals of the Sool region and all the people of Somaliland wherever they are to implement every step that will accomplish the completion of the ceasefire, abd for both sides to resolve any dispute through dialogue and Have a peaceful pilgrimage.
Meanwhile, The Religious scholars sent their condolences to the families and relatives of those who were killed by the clashes and wished the injured a speedy recovery and hoped those displaced from the city to return to their city in peace as soon as possible.
They reminded the fighting parties that the blood of a Muslim is forbidden by reminding the hadith of the Prophet that clarified the blood of people is forbidden, and to stop the spread of reports that could incite further hostilities.
The scholars expressed their readiness to participate in the cessation of hostilities and peace between the parties who are in conflict and to help the communities who have been affected by the conflict.
