Somaliland ministry of health in collaboration with UNICEF have officially rolled out the third phase of Astrazeneca covid19 vaccine on tuesday. The exercise which is aimed at vaccinating hundreds of people in Somaliland to mitigate the spread of covid-19.
The ministry of health affirmed the vaccination exercise will be conducted in the other major cities of the country within the coming days. Ministry officials advised the public to receive their jabs.
Mohamed Abdi Hargeeye, the Director general of Somaliland ministry of health clarified that this exercise will not be limited to those who got previous injections but it will be to everyone in the public.
Saidu Milgawi Hassan, who is an immunization specialist at UNICEF stated their commitment to collaborate with the ministry in terms of mitigating the pandemic and motivating the public to receive their doses.
It was recently when the ministry of health received 30,000 doses of Astra zeneca covid 19 vaccines from France on which its exercise has been officially launched today in Hargeisa.
