A number of ministers, vice ministers and senior officials of government institutions have been sworn in on Thursday by the country’s supreme court in Hargeisa. The new government officials took the oath of office at a ceremony held at the Presidential palace.
Expressing his confidence in them, President Muse Bihi advised the new government officials to show a high sense of loyalty to the nation and their people. The President appointed some of these figures a few months ago but due to the transitional period of the house of representatives their approval was delayed.
The ministers who took the oath of office include the minister of religious affairs, the minister of water and the vice ministers of education and information, respectively as well as the Chairman of Somaliland civil service commision.
