Somaliland’s biggest telecom operators , Telesom, SomTel and SomCable have today signed an agreement to jointly co-own over 1500km of underground optical infrustucure. For several years, the underground optic cable infrastructure was owned exclusively by the Somcable company.
The acquisition agreement was signed by the CEOs and chairmen of the three companies who included Abdikarim Eid of Telesom, Mohamed Duale of Somtel and Mohamed Saed of Somcable. The Minister of Telecommunications, Dr. Abdiweli Abdillahi was also present during the signing.
