Somaliland’s Waddani party has criticized Bihi’s administration that it has failed to deal well enough with the severe Dengue Fever that affected Somaliland society in the past three months.
The party’s social affairs secretary Sadiq Dhamme in a press conference criticized and called upon president Muse Bihi to visit and see for himself the situation at the national hospital in Hargeisa as the society severs from Dengue Fever.
He reported that in the last 3 months no steps were taken to prevent the fever except an organization that helped to build a small booth that can fit 20 beds in the Hargeisa national hospital and that was the main step taken.
Secretary Sadiq dhamme noted saying to the president that today is not the day to ride a horse, but the day to rescue and help his people who are dying in the hospital which is 50 steps away from the presidency. He advised the president to go and visit the people who are currently wrestling with the fever.
The party also called upon the cabinet of ministers especially the deputy minister of health to serve the people according to what he was assigned.
Sadiq Dhame also talked about the doctors who were sent to ethiopia for doctoral specializations who are surviving on their little savings. He sent a message to the parliament who are working on the 2023 budget of somaliland to help those 42 doctors who were volunteer works and had received a scholarship from Ethiopia.
