Today marked the seamless commencement of high and intermediate school examinations across Somaliland, with the presence of the President who personally inspected the opening proceedings in Hargeisa. Accompanying him during the supervision exercise were the esteemed Education Minister and the Head of the National Examination Committee.
During the inauguration, Daud Ahmed Faarah, the Head of the National Examination board, announced that a total of 41,000 students are currently undertaking the national examinations throughout the country. Among these, 25,000 students are from primary and intermediate levels, while 16,000 students are from secondary level, all of whom are distributed among 300 designated examination centers.
President Bihi, who graciously distributed the examination papers to the students, conveyed his best wishes for their success and encouraged them to approach the exams with confidence, assuring them that these assessments are akin to the normal examinations they have previously encountered.
Several students also took the opportunity to share their sentiments with the media. They expressed their feelings about the examinations and expressed optimism regarding their ability to achieve positive results, which will subsequently enable them to pursue higher education at the university level.
