Early on Monday, hundreds of Somalilanders headed to various polling stations across the country to cast their votes for the parliamentary and local council elections. Women and men have peacefully lined up in queues as they wait to exercise their democratic right.
A total of 798 candidates from the three parties WADDANI, KULMIYE and UCID,are running for local councils and the House of Representatives. International observers from Africa, Europe and other countries are in Somaliland to witness the elections.
