Somaliland’s Minister of Water lays the foundation stone of a new dam in the Daadmadheedh region.

The Minister of Water Ali Hasan Mahamed along with the Minister of Environment and Climate Change Shukri Ismail Bandare, have laid the foundation stone of a dam that the government will implement in the town of Haji-Salah in the Daadmadheedh region.

Ali Hasan Mahamed Said the construction of the dam is implemented by the budget of Somaliland and the tax collected from the public. Also, the Minister of Environment and Climate Change Shukri Ismail Bandare, stated that the president promised daadmadheedh region to get enough water and said that it’s fortunate that the promise has been accomplished.

The Governor of Daad Madheed region and the regional intellectuals extended gratitude to the government for giving special consideration in the region, underlining it is the right time for the residents to get sufficient water.
