The Chairman of Wadani party in Somaliland, Hirsi Ali Haji Hassan, in a press release statement on 6 march has appointed the secretary of Internal affairs Mohamed Farah Abdi as the new spokesperson of the party.
The chairman stated that after studying Article 27 of the National Party’s Law, Articles of the Constitution of the Republic of Somaliland, considering the acceleration of Wadani Party’s activities, and consulting stakeholders, is confidence that the new Spokesperson has all the experience and leadership for the position.
The statement comes after the former spokesperson Barkhad Batuun announced his resignation after 5 years of holding office on a facebook post on friday feb 24, stating that he wants to devote himself to the wide range of work in the parliament and welfare issues of Somaliland people.
Hirsi Ali Haji Hassan, wished that the duty entrusted to the newly appointed spokesperson to be easy on him, and to contribute efforts and effective ideas to the WADANI Party in general and especially to the duty he had taken responsibility for.
Mohamed Farah Abdi Noor is also among the selected 7 member committee on the situation of Lasanod City by the Waddani party, to seek peace and assess the conflict to obtain complete and detailed information about the situation.
