Somaliland at Breaking Point, Faysal of UCID Party Expressed

Hargaysa—16, 09, 2018. UCID summoned the Central committee and the executive of his party to discuss the critical stage Somaliland has entered very recently. The members of the party recommended that the country needs nationwide emergency conference to look into matters at the hand including the recurrent clannish wars at the eastern of the country. “The warring tribes in Sool region have to stop killing each other.” UCID party leader and chairman called.
The participants of the congress agreed to end the conflict on peaceful means and they mentioned a woman victim who was the last casualty of the resumed hostility between sister clans, Biciido and Sacad Yoonis. UCID‘s chairman asked God to heal those injured in the conflicts happened in the East of Africa.

The party wants to initiate a national consultation given the critical moment Somaliland currently faces.
“The region at the critical juncture, my party is declaring a nationwide meeting to overcome the key challenges and reshape the ongoing changes in the Horn of Africa.” Referring to Ethiopia’s phenomenal changes of power and its future impact on the East Africa including Somaliland.
This call for urgent national gathering came when the region is viewed as “in political turmoil.”
