The chairman of Somaliland’s Justice and Welfare party (UCID) has regretted that neighboring tiny country, Djibouti, constructed a port for the sole purpose of exporting Somaliland’s livestock.
Faysal Ali Warabe lamented that Somaliland relies on neighboring Djibouti to export its livestock and in accessing internet after twenty-eight years of independence.
The UCID chairman said this was due to dishonest politicians who put their self-interest above the nation’s interest. He alleged that very few government officials do think of the nation’s interest.
Faysal Ali Warabe was speaking at the function on his honor organized by students whose university tuition fees the chairman paid. In his remarks at the occasion, Faisal Ali Waraabe alleged that education in Somaliland is the lowest in any other Somali region.
