Somaliland opposition party UCID has formally finalised its two day general assembly convention in Hargeisa where they have elected the party leaders.
Feisal Ali Waraabe, the founder and the longest serving leader of the party has been elected as Chairman for the fourth time. The 72 year old said the party achieved tremendous success since its foundation and asked the public to endorse his party and his candidacy.
He pledged more women and youth participation in the party’s policy making and his administration if he is elected as President next year. The Chairman revealed that his party has no place for defectors from the other political parties and wants his party to produce young talented politicians.
Feisal Ali Warabe alleged the incumbent President Muse Bihi for attempting to divide the public and reviving tribalism. He believes the public regrets that Kulmiye had been elected as the ruling party due to the growing economic, social and political crisis.
